I think it was a winter in the early 90s sometime when we had a big freeze pass through Frenso. Pipes were freezing and it felt like my first winter in Chicago. My folks picked that weekend to come for a visit and for some reason I was scheduled to fly on a Saturday. I don't remember who lead was. There's Russ "Ludwig" Kramer herding the gang around while I climb in. | Getting settled in. A good picture of me if I do say so myself :) | Ready to crank it up. Looks like mom taking the pictures. |
Formation take-off with me on the wing on the left. Rwy 29R and the Tower in the background. | Gear up. | While I was up flying Russ took Carol and my folks over to the simulator for a little demo. Here's my dad getting a little instruction. |
It doesn't matter who you're talking to - fighter pilots can only communicate with their hands. | On another occasion my sister, Lynne, came out for a visit with my nephew, Cody and husband, Mike. Cody, like most boys really loved all the bells and whistles of a cool machine. |
I like this one. Me, Cody and Lynne. In the background is the old parking lot with the "Revolving Gate." Off to the right is the old Sim building. All that is gone now. |
